The UnCovered Backstory
When God gave me the directive to write this devotional, I was preparing for an upcoming women’s retreat that I host yearly. The women had secured the limited spots available through registration, and it was evident that they were so excited...excited to finally meet face-to-face the women of our Sista Circle whom they had grown together with through weekly Bible Study. They were excited to meet my mentor whom I had invited to come in and impart into us. And for one, she was excited to finally meet me - she joined our circle via direct invitation from me after she “happened to find your video on Soul Ties on YouTube”. We know that it wasn’t by chance but through Divine alignment that our paths intersected.
One afternoon as I was cleaning the kitchen and praying about the retreat, I said to God, “I don’t want the women to come and have just another church experience. I want them to walk away from the UnCovered Women’s Retreat with something transformational and tangible. Five years from now, if someone were to ask them what they got from my retreat, I want them to be able to immediately rattle out what You did for them and how it changed their lives.” Immediately, God said to me, “Have them to write their own devotionals.”
Oh, bet! Say less! Or, as my good friend JJ Evans would say, “When I tell you!!!” To say that I was excited would be an extreme understatement. Ask any of the sistas from our bible study circle what my favorite scripture is and they’ll tell you that it’s Deuteronomy 8:18 - “You shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He Who gives you power to get wealth, that He may confirm His covenant that He swore to your fathers, as it is this day.” So you know what I was thinking, right? The devotionals would be an avenue to get to the wealth! It would be a residual stream that would generate increase and break lack, debt and/or poverty curses. I could hardly wait to tell them the good plans that Abba had for them. I was (and still am) so honored that the Lord would choose me to lead these women into their wealthy places, or into their Virtuous Girl era.
Sis...I felt the baby that God had just breathed into my womb, leap! I stood in my kitchen with broom in hand and said yes to God’s plan. I said, “Abba, thank You! I’ll do it. I’ll coach them through to writing their own devotionals.” And He said, “I want you to do it too.” I had not planned to participate, only to show them the way but when He let me know that this was for me as well, I obliged but I had no idea what I was, in totality, saying yes to.
So as I’m standing there basking in pure joy, I realized that I had an obstacle to overcome: to convince busy, non-writing women to
become writers. I knew that the thought of authoring a book would overwhelm at least two of them. So, I did what any good sister and friend would do; I lied. I told them that for the month leading up to the retreat, that I needed them to participate in a journaling exercise that would better prepare us for the retreat. I guess it was a partial lie; what I told them was partly the truth.
For a month, they blindly followed my lead. For a month, Holy Spirit did a thing in us that none of us -not even me - were expecting. The very first day, we all understood why God had given me ‘UnCovered’ for the theme of the retreat. Sis, we definitely understood the assignment. Day by day, we were becoming UnCovered from things of the past.
Old, unhealed wounds.
Unresolved traumas.
You name it, Holy Spirit was uncovering it all as we followed His leading. Each woman, a different story but with commonalities of abuse, rejection, shame and, for some, church hurt. We were uncovering and unmasking things that we didn’t realize were there because they were deeply buried within...within our souls.

My great aunt, Ruelle Cone, was one of the first women to make millionaire status selling Mary Kay Cosmetics. In fact, she was the first Black woman in the company to achieve such an accomplishment. I love Mary Kay; specifically the TimeWise Skincare system. My love for it coupled with knowing my aunt’s success fueled my desire to be her successor in the family. The fire didn’t burn long because to make millions through Mary Kay wasn’t a part of my purpose as it had been my aunt’s. However, I still prefer Mary Kay over almost any other skin care system that I’ve ever used. Why? Because I know that it works.

When I was a consultant, I once had this customer who claimed that the system was breaking her out; causing fine bumps all over her face. She thought that she was allergic to whatever was in the cleanser. I knew that the cleanser wasn’t breaking her out nor was she allergic to it; I knew that it was working. So, I encouraged her to keep using it for a little while longer to see what would happen. Just as I suspected, after a few days her skin cleared up completely. The cleanser was doing what it was formulated to, going beneath the surface purging dirt from the skin’s pores. The “breakout” or “allergic reaction” was actually just the skin’s surface reacting to the unseen junk that had been trapped beneath. Although the skin looked irritated for a short time, as she continued to apply the cleanser, her skin cleared up, glowing more beautifully than it had before. Hebrews 4:16 says, “For the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Sis, for 21 days prior to the retreat, Holy Spirit deeply pierced our souls; He discerned thoughts that we didn’t know were within us until they were provoked. The Word became our spiritual foaming cleanser, exposing the dirt and shame that had been masked by functional depression, anxiety, unforgiveness, motherhood and church hurt. Holy Spirit became the weapon that was sharper than a double-edged sword...He pierced deep. The toxic stuff came to the surface, allowing us to confront what had been covered. Day by day, as we continued to apply the Word to our souls, we became cleansed and completely UnCovered.

UnCovered: A Journey to Healing, Identity, and Transformation
What Is UnCovered?
At its core, UnCovered is a healing and discipleship journey designed to help women identify the root causes of the cycles, wounds, mindsets, and beliefs that have kept them stuck while leading them into greater freedom, healing, and transformation through Jesus Christ.
Over the years, I have met countless women who genuinely love God, attend church, read their Bibles, and desire to grow spiritually, yet continue to struggle with the same patterns and challenges. Many find themselves battling rejection, insecurity, fear, shame, people-pleasing, unhealthy relationships, or the lingering effects of church hurt. Despite their sincere faith, they often feel frustrated because they cannot seem to understand why the same issues continue resurfacing.
What I have learned through my own healing journey and through years of ministering to women is that God is never interested in simply managing symptoms. While we often focus on what is visible on the surface, God consistently reveals and addresses the root. He understands that lasting transformation cannot occur until the source of the problem is identified and healed.
UnCovered was created to help women partner with God in that process. Rather than focusing solely on behavior, the program helps women examine the beliefs, wounds, experiences, and spiritual strongholds that may be influencing the way they think, respond, and live. Through biblical teaching, intentional self-reflection, prayer, and Holy Spirit-led revelation, women are given the opportunity to uncover what has remained hidden so that true healing can begin.

Why Women Come to UnCovered
Women come to UnCovered for many different reasons, but most share one common experience: they are tired of feeling stuck.
Some arrive carrying wounds from rejection, betrayal, abandonment, or church hurt. Others are struggling with identity issues, people-pleasing tendencies, insecurity, or a persistent feeling that they were created for more than what they are currently experiencing. Many have spent years trying to understand why they continue repeating the same patterns despite their desire to change.
What they often discover is that the issue is not a lack of faith, a lack of prayer, or a lack of desire. More often than not, there is an unresolved wound, belief, or experience that has never been properly addressed.
UnCovered creates a safe and biblically grounded environment where women can invite God into those places, receive His truth, and begin experiencing the healing that comes from allowing Him to reveal and restore what has been hidden beneath the surface.

...going through the UnCovered program helped me to uncover things that had been covered for years...curses that I had spoken over myself...I'm so honored and thankful to God for Katina's ministry and how it transforms you. If you just follow and listen to what she tells you to do and do what she tells you to do, the Holy Spirit will come in and transform you.....Katina is the epitome of the Titus 2 Woman, she genuinely wants everybody to operate in their purpose...

FAQs
How much is it to join the UnCovered Program?
The investment for the UnCovered Coaching Program is $400.
I realize there are coaching programs and courses available today that cost thousands of dollars. While I certainly believe the transformation offered through UnCovered is valuable, my goal has never been to create a program that is financially out of reach for the women who need it most.
The heart behind UnCovered has always been healing, restoration, and transformation. I want women who are serious about their healing journey to have access to the tools, resources, and guidance that can help them move forward without creating unnecessary financial barriers. My focus has never been on reaching a certain number of clients. My focus has always been on helping women experience genuine transformation through the power of God.
What happens during the 21 days?
Throughout the 21-day journey, participants will complete daily readings, reflections, prayers, and assignments specifically designed to help uncover unhealthy cycles, unresolved wounds, limiting beliefs, and areas where healing is needed.
Each day builds upon the previous day, creating a progressive process that encourages spiritual growth, self-awareness, healing, and transformation. Participants are expected to engage with the daily material consistently and complete assignments within the designated timeframes.
The program is designed to be both practical and spiritually transformative, helping women move beyond information and into application.
What if I am unable to complete the program?
Because UnCovered is a digital coaching and discipleship experience that provides immediate access to proprietary materials and resources, all program investments are non-refundable.
Before enrolling, I encourage every woman to prayerfully consider whether she can commit to the 21-day process. Healing requires intentionality, consistency, and participation.
Life happens, and I understand that unexpected circumstances may arise. However, because of the nature of the program and the intellectual property involved, refunds cannot be issued for missed days, incomplete participation, scheduling conflicts, or personal circumstances that prevent completion.
For this reason, I encourage participants to begin the program during a season when they can dedicate the time and emotional space necessary to fully engage in the process.
Is UnCovered biblical?
Absolutely.
Every aspect of UnCovered is rooted in Scripture and designed to help women grow in their relationship with God while developing a deeper understanding of who He created them to be.
The program incorporates biblical teaching, prayer, self-reflection, spiritual application, and Holy Spirit-led discovery. While practical coaching principles are utilized throughout the process, they are always viewed through a biblical lens and aligned with the truth of God's Word.
My goal is not simply to help women feel better. My goal is to help women experience healing, transformation, and spiritual growth that is firmly grounded in Scripture.
Is UnCovered a church?
No. UnCovered is not a church, denomination, or counseling practice. It is a biblically-based coaching and discipleship experience created to help women heal, grow, and develop a deeper relationship with God. Many women who come through UnCovered have experienced church hurt, spiritual disappointment, or leadership wounds. While we address those experiences, our focus is helping women heal and move forward rather than remaining defined by what happened to them.
Will I be required to sign any agreements before beginning the program?
Yes.
Upon acceptance into the UnCovered Coaching Program, participants are required to review and sign the program agreements before receiving access to any materials.
These agreements include participant consent forms, confidentiality provisions, and intellectual property protections related to the UnCovered Coaching Program and its proprietary processes, content, materials, exercises, assignments, and methodologies.
Over the past years, the Lord has developed and refined what is now the UnCovered process. As such, the program, its framework, content, and associated materials are protected intellectual property and may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, taught, published, or repurposed without written authorization.
These agreements help protect both the participant and the integrity of the program.
Is UnCovered right for everyone?
No.
UnCovered is designed for women who are ready to honestly examine areas of their lives that may require healing, growth, forgiveness, and transformation.
The women who benefit most from the program are those who are willing to be teachable, self-aware, committed to the process, and open to what God may reveal along the journey.
If you are looking for a quick fix, surface-level encouragement, or someone to simply tell you what you want to hear, UnCovered is not the right fit.
However, if you are ready to identify the roots behind recurring cycles, gain clarity concerning your identity, deepen your relationship with God, and partner with Him in your healing journey, UnCovered may be exactly the next step you have been praying for.
